Andante Percussion was founded in November 1986 by Sam and Frank Hodgen. The idea began when the pipe band they played in faced technical problems with their drums. They searched the market for better options but found no real improvement.
As a result, they decided to design and build their own world-class drum products in Rathfriland, County Down. Their goal was simple: create high-performance drums that met the needs of serious pipe bands.
